What is CAST Fitness?

We offer a monthly membership to our live online fitness classes. Our classes are fun and challenging, designed to burn body fat and build strength. We offer a broad range of personally tailored fitness and lifestyle coaching including Personal Training, group and one-to-one yoga classes, as well as nutrition guidance.

6 Week Full-Body Plan

The Cast team have created a 6 week full-body plan to improve both your physical and mental well-being.

Exercising correctly is an important tool to support and improve your mental health. Did you know that regular exercise and fitness training:

  1. Reduces stress by lowering cortisol levels;

  2. Reduces anxiety through the release of endorphins;

  3. Builds self-confidence;

  4. Improves learning abilities;

  5. Boost brain power and function

  6. Reduces the symptoms of depression.

There are so many more benefits of exercise than just physical aesthetics.

 

The 6-week body plan includes 5 workouts per week, along with 2 rest days. Each workout is different and is a combination of strength training and cardiovascular conditioning. This plan can be completed at home, with dumbbells or in the gym.

Remember : It’s always important to warm up and cool down before and after each workout.

Week 1 works through a combination of supersets - In a superset there are 2 exercises. You will try and move as quickly as possible between each exercise without a rest for the desired number of sets. For example: 10 press-ups straight into 40 mountain climbers; and repeat 3 times (sets).

In Week 2, we increase the intensity and work mainly with Tri-sets. These work in the same way as the supersets you completed in week 1, except this time, you have 3 exercises to complete before you rest. For example: 10 chest press, straight into 10 press-ups and then straight into 40 mountain climbers, then rest and repeat the sequence 3 times.

Week 3 focuses on circuits. Work through 2-3 rounds of each circuit as quickly as you can, only resting when required.

Week 4 introduces “EMOM” sets. This stands for Every Minute, On the Minute. Set a timer for the time specified. Perform the number of reps specified at the begin of each minute, resting for the remainder of the minute.

Week 5 includes “ARMAP” rounds. This stands for As Many Rounds As Possible. Complete as many rounds of the specified exercises in the time given. Resting only when required.
